When the four horsewomen began taking women’s wrestling to a new level in WWE, no one was aware just how much impact they would truly have. This couldn’t have applied more so than to Sasha Banks and Bayley, who feuded for the NXT Women’s Championship in the end of Banks’ NXT run.
The two would first face off at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn in 2015 where they had what many still consider the greatest Women’s match in WWE history. An emotional bout saw Bayley capture the NXT Women’s title and steal the entire weekend. When SummerSlam was all said and done, this was the match that people were still buzzing about.
They would go on to have a rematch at NXT Takeover: Respect in an epic Iron Man match main event. It was the first time that women had main evented a WWE special and it was also the first Women’s Iron Man match in WWE. As expected, they stole the show and the hearts of many fans watching.
