When Alexa Bliss told her mother that she was going to try out for WWE, she was dead set against it. In her mother Angela’s mind, females in WWE were muscular, powerful women, even citing Chyna as an example. Despite her mother’s fear that she would be crushed and thrown around, Bliss insisted on going for it, and she did so with success.
Bliss was signed during the transitionary period of women’s wrestling in WWE and by the time she was main roster ready, she had the look and character that WWE was looking for.
