Along with Sasha Banks, Alexa Bliss became the first woman to wrestle in the middle east. This is quite an accomplishment given that countries such as Saudi Arabia forbid women from performing, period.
However, the historic bout took place at a live event in Abu Dhabi. Both Alexa Bliss and Sasha Banks used ring gear that covered up their skin in respect of the foreign culture. Though the United Arab Emirates is a far more relaxed country when it comes to women’s rights, it was undoubtedly a great achievement for both women and the women’s division in general.
You could see how much it meant to both of them. After the match, Sasha Banks was in tears and Vince McMahon himself congratulated both women.
