#1.) John Cena – Royal Rumble 2017
It was well established at that point that Styles and Cena were unable to have a bad match. This made it all the more reason to anticipate when the two were set to go head-to-head in a WWE Championship bout at the Royal Rumble in front of over 45,000 people.
With Styles having held the title for over 130 days, Cena looked to finally get one over Styles while also capturing his 16th world championship. As expected, the two delivered beyond anyone’s wildest dreams. In a match that saw neither superstar exit the ring even once, they managed to outdo their prior performance, which itself was one of the greatest matches in SummerSlam history.
In front of a rabid 45,000+ crowd, the usual “pro-AJ” crowd couldn’t help but cheer Cena after a hard-fought and well-earned world title victory.
