WWE RAW Review: Hits And Misses For February 24

Welcome or welcome back to our weekly WWE RAW hits and misses series where we recap all the good and bad from the show.

This week’s episode of RAW saw a Women’s Tag Team title change, another heated exchange between Logan Paul and CM Punk, and more. Let’s get into what did (and didn’t) work.

Ludwig Kaiser revels in his victory over Penta and Pete Dunne: Raw exclusive, Feb. 24, 2025

Hit – Ludwig Kaiser picks up the win on WWE RAW

Kaiser should’ve picked the win and he did. Losing the three-way dance won’t hurt Penta’s momentum in the slightest. He didn’t take the pin. Dunne did. This writer won’t be surprised if Kaiser becomes the first person in WWE to hand Penta his first singles loss.

Miss – Women’s IC Title post-match angle

It’s clear they’re setting up a triple threat between Lyra Valkyria, Dakota Kai and Ivy Nile. But then what’s the point of Dakota losing clean to Lyra? Ivy should’ve interfered during what was a really good match between Dakota and Lyra. A DQ ending here would’ve made more sense instead of the post-match angle we got on WWE RAW.

The New Day stand tall over The LWO: Raw highlights, Feb. 24, 2025

Hit – LWO vs. The New Day on WWE RAW

Joaquin and Cruz should compete more often. They are really good. Woods sold the hell out for LWO during the match. Dragon Lee wanted to make the save but got his ass handed to him instead. Does that mean he joins Rey Mysterio on the injured reserve list?

Miss – Bron Breakker vs. Dominik Mysterio

Dominik Mysterio losing clean would’ve been the ideal outcome. Dom has issues with Finn and a clean loss to Breakker would’ve (again, ideally) aggravated the tension. Also, what happened to the Breakker versus AJ Styles feud they teased on WWE RAW last week? It seems they hinted at moving on to Breakker versus Balor last night.

Hit – Cody Rhodes & Seth Rolling’ segment on WWE RAW

This was far better than the travesty we got on SmackDown last week. It’s clear Rollins cares about Rhodes. Both men went to war with The Bloodline. Rhodes telling Rollins his soul might’ve already been compromised was a cold comeback. Elimination Chamber can’t come soon enough.

Miss – No Jade Cargill in the main event

I don’t get it. They heavily referenced Jade throughout the match. It was the right time to have Cargill return and cost Bianca Belair and Naomi the title. Instead, we got the usual Dominik Mysterio distraction spot followed by a tag team title win for Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. They could’ve just played Jade’s music and that would’ve been enough to cause a title change.

It’s been months since Jade was attacked and there’s been almost no progress since then.

Honorable Mentions

  • Logan Paul slapped CM Punk so hard he started bleeding from his mouth. Come to think of it, Paul versus Punk sounds like an interesting match-up. But this writer doesn’t want Punk to miss out on the opportunity of a lifetime to main event WrestleMania. So Paul versus Punk can wait.
  • Akira Tozawa versus Gunther on WWE RAW was so fun to watch. Tozawa still has got that fire in him. Gunther never fails to get the best out of his opponent. He gave Tozawa a showdown very few would’ve done right.
