WWE RAW Review: Hits And Misses For February 10

Welcome (or welcome back) to our weekly WWE RAW hits and misses series where we recap all the good and bad from the show. RAW had some memorable moments this week, so let’s get into it with a moment that set up the first match for WrestleMania 41.

Hit – Jey Uso picks his WrestleMania opponent

Don’t believe everything you see on the internet. Jey is still one of the most over Superstars in WWE. Gunther may be to this generation what Nick Bockwinkel was to his era, a wrestler’s wrestler. The whole beatdown angle was really well done. The crowd loved when Jey, who said maybe he shouldn’t say it, picked Gunther as his opponent. The feud is going to be exciting.

Miss – Lyra Valkyria vs. Bayley on WWE RAW

I was not a fan of this match. Both seemed to have trouble communicating the spots throughout the match. Lyra landed neck-first on the rope and it just looked brutal. Hopefully, she’s okay. It’s time for Lyra to focus on building her legacy as the first-ever Women’s Intercontinental Championship instead of chasing after the world title.

Hit – Damage CTRL vs. Judgment Day

This was a really good tag team match. Liv Morgan and IYO SKY’s exchanges looked great. Liv took a nasty knee to the face, which seemed to have busted her open. Dakota Kai and Raquel Rodriguez have history dating back to NXT. Some good stuff here.

Miss – AJ Styles’ promo on WWE RAW

Styles is one of the best of his generation but he isn’t phenomenal on the mic. It’s amazing that Dominik still isn’t able to cut a promo because the crowd won’t let him because of the heel heat. Poor Carlito had to take a beating from Styles because Dom escaped.

Now, Styles and Dominik will meet on RAW next week.

Hit – Logan Paul vs. Rey Mysterio

Both guys tweaked this match-up a bit because they didn’t want it to look similar to their Crown Jewel outing. Rey has been the GOAT for as long as he’s been wrestling. He makes all the aerial moves look so easy at the age of 50.

As for Logan Paul, he picked up the win in his WWE RAW in-ring debut and debuted a new finisher. That said, let’s hope they don’t do CM Punk versus Paul at WrestleMania. The pair had a verbal confrontation before the main event, but let’s hope it just sets up an interaction in the Elimination Chamber.

Miss – Ending to world tag team title match

This was a great match ruined by the ending. For those who didn’t watch, the Creeds hit the Viking Raiders with the belt to cause a DQ ending. WWE really needs to step up with their finishes because these DQ endings ruin all the excitement, especially when the in-ring action looks great.
