WWE NXT New Year’s Evil comes to you live from The Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles. It’s the first NXT show of the year and the first WWE program after RAW’s historic Netflix debut. Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyx) vs. Gigi Dolin, Shotzi & Tatum Paxley
Shotzi made her return to WWE NXT a few weeks ago. The green-haired superstar helped Gigi Dolin fend off Fatal Influence. Tonight, Shotzi will join forces with Dolin and Tatum Paxley as they take on Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx.
Lexis King (c) vs. Charlie Dempsey – Sudden Death Rules match for Heritage Cup at NXT New Year’s Evil
William Regal inadvertently cost his son, Charlie Dempsey, the Heritage Cup previously on WWE NXT by taking out Lexis King with a pair of brass knuckles. Tonight, Dempsey will get another shot at the Heritage Cup in a Sudden Death Rules match. Will Dempsey reclaim his title, or will King emerge out of NXT New Year’s Evil still the champion?
Cora Jade vs. Stephanie Vaquer vs. Lola Vice vs. Kelani Jordan – #1 Contender’s Match for NXT Women’s North American Championship
Cora Jade, Stephanie Vaquer, Lola Vice, and Kelani Jordan have found themselves fighting for the same prize over the past several weeks. Tonight, all four women will get the opportunity but only one can call themselves the new number one contender to the NXT North American title.
Roxanne Perez (c) vs. Giulia – NXT Women’s Championship
Giulia won the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline 2024 to become the number one contender to the NXT Women’s Championship. She will take on Roxanne Perez for the title tonight. Giulia previously failed to beat Perez for the title on NXT’s debut episode on The CW.
Trick Williams (c) vs. Eddy Thorpe vs. Oba Femi – NXT Championship Triple Threat match
Oba Femi subbed for Eddy Thorpe and ended up winning the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge. However, Thorpe revealed he faked his injury to get a title match against Trick Williams. After Williams defended his title against Thorpe, all three men got into an argument before NXT GM Ava announced all three would be competing for the championship at NXT New Year’s Evil.
The Rock to appear at NXT New Year’s Evil
After appearing on RAW’s Netflix premiere, The Rock announced via Instagram he’d appear at NXT New Year’s Evil. This will mark Rock’s first televised appearance for the brand. He and Ava recently attended the Golden Globe Awards together.
