The go-home episode of WWE RAW for Survivor Series: WarGames went down at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, AZ. RAW this week featured the OG Bloodline (minus Roman Reigns), Gunther, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, and more.
WWE updated the Survivor Series card with a new match announcement last night. Fans can check out the line-up for the upcoming PLE here. That said, let’s get to the biggest hits and misses from the November 25 episode of Monday Night RAW.
Hit – The champion goes through a table
Gunther’s confidence seems like it’s dwindling. It’s very unlike the Ring General. The loss to Cody Rhodes has seemingly had Gunther shaken. Priest’s “Street King” gimmick is working. He’s stepping up as a legitimate contender for the world title. Gunther has failed to get the upper hand on Priest two weeks in a row. The table spot from last night’s WWE RAW was solid. Gunther will most likely retain but it’ll be a closely contested fight.
Miss – Bron Breakker vs. Ludwig Kaiser on WWE RAW
Breakker crashing into the announcer’s desk gut-first looked brutal. Kaiser’s evasion got him the upper hand. Sheamus’ interference was predictable given Kaiser did the same last week. The DQ ending set up a major match for Survivor Series: WarGames. This writer doesn’t want to raise his hopes but Sheamus needs to pick up the W this Saturday. It’s long overdue.
Hit – Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods trade barbs
This was the segment of the night! Let’s take a moment to appreciate Kofi and Xavier’s gear choice. They rocked that Goku and Goku Black/Zamasu attire. WWE has done an excellent job of preparing fans for The New Day’s looming implosion. Alpha Academy might’ve picked the biggest and quickest win of their career. Big E’s presence is heavily missed here. He would’ve played the peacemaker but there is clearly no love lost between Woods and Kingston.
Miss – World tag team title match on WWE RAW
Judgment Day’s usual shenanigans got them the win over War Raiders. The tag team title picture on WWE RAW is getting stale. Triple H needs to get the title off of Balor and McDonagh before he gives fans the inevitable Balor versus Dominik. Speaking of Dom, this writer won’t mind seeing Dom and Carlito win the World Tag Team Championship.
Hit – Bianca Belair vs. Nia Jax
This writer gives credit where credit is due. Both women put on a great main event to determine which team will have the advantage this Saturday at WarGames. Bianca showed her impressive strength by lifting Nia on multiple occasions. The WWE Women’s Champion dished out some effective strikes, but ultimately fell to a splash – thanks to Bayley’s interference.
