It’s almost time for WWE SmackDown!
WWE returns to Columbia, South Carolina for the October 18 episode of SmackDown. Superstars advertised for the show include Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Bayley, Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, and LA Knight.
Here’s what’s on tap for the October 18 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
Los Garza vs. MCMG?
WWE has heavily teased Motor City Machine Guns’ debut in the lead-up to tonight’s show. Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin have reportedly been on the company’s payroll since mid-September.
As for their opponents, MCMG are rumored to take on Los Garza in their debut match on WWE SmackDown. Last week, Santos Escobar demanded a tag team title shot for Humberto and Garza only for Nick Aldis to put the pair in a tag team match against two mystery opponents.
Will MCMG show up on the blue brand tonight to take on Los Garza? We will find out.
Andrade vs. Carmelo Hayes VII on WWE SmackDown
Andrade and Carmelo Hayes may be tied 3-3 but it all comes to a conclusion tonight.
After months of giving the WWE Universe spectacular matches, Andrade and Melo will take their feud to a decisive outcome.
The winner gets a United States Championship match against LA Knight. Melo previously failed to beat Knight for the title on WWE SmackDown.
Randy Orton is coming for Kevin Owens
The Viper is ready to strike!
After getting attacked by Kevin Owens backstage, Randy Orton will return to SmackDown to confront his former tag team partner.
Orton has been caught in the crossroads between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens for the past several weeks. Speaking of Owens, the Prizefighter has given WWE until SmackDown to air a video explaining his recent actions against both Rhodes and Orton.
Cody Rhodes & Gunther segment?
Cody Rhodes will take on Gunther in a “Champion vs. Champion” match at WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.
Rhodes previously appeared on back-to-back episodes of RAW to confront Gunther. Will the World Heavyweight Championship show up on the blue brand tonight?
Roman Reigns appears on WWE SmackDown
Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso were both destroyed by The Bloodline last week on SmackDown.
The Tribal Chief took care of The Tongans and Solo Sikoa, but Jacob Fatu’s arrival turned the tides for The Bloodline. After the beatdown, Jimmy tried to convince Reigns that they needed to up the numbers game against The Bloodline.
Jimmy Uso would show up this past Monday on RAW to talk to Jey about the possibility of helping them against The Bloodline, but Jey told him to get out of his face. Jey will defend his Intercontinental Championship against Bron Breakker on the October 21 episode of RAW.
WrestleZone will have full coverage of 10/18 SmackDown as it airs.
