It’s almost time for the season premiere of WWE SmackDown on USA!
Tonight’s SmackDown will take place live at Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena in Washington. Cody Rhodes, LA Knight, Bayley, Nia Jax, Solo Sikoa, and Tiffany Stratton will work the show. Roman Reigns is being advertised as well.
Here’s what’s on tap for the September 13 episode of WWE SmackDown.
Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Solo Sikoa – Undisputed WWE Championship Steel Cage match
Cody Rhodes managed to beat Solo Sikoa with a little help from Roman Reigns at SummerSlam 2024. The American Nightmare retained his title against close friend Kevin Owens at Bash in Berlin as well.
Solo had told the world he was coming for the winner of Cody versus Owens. General Manager Aldis booked a steel cage match between Cody and Solo to prevent The Bloodline from influencing the outcome.
Triple H confirmed the steel cage outing would kick off WWE SmackDown’s premiere on USA.
Andrade vs. Carmelo Hayes on WWE SmackDown
Andrade and Carmelo are 2-2 in a feud that’s been going on since July.
Tonight, the two Superstars will look to settle the score and earn a future shot against United States Champion LA Knight in the process.
A-Town Down Under vs. Kevin Owens & TBA
Kevin Owens cooled off some frustration from his loss at Bash in Berlin by defeating Austin Theory and Grayson Waller in a triple threat match last week on WWE SmackDown. Unfortunately for KO, the victory quickly fizzled into a post-match beatdown by both Waller and Theory.
GM Aldis told KO he could have any partner of his choosing to take on A-Town Down Under on SmackDown. It remains to be see which superstar will join the Prizefighter to take on Waller and Theory tonight on SmackDown.
