AEW All In Preview And Predictions

It’s almost time for AEW All In!

All Elite Wrestling returns to Wembley Stadium for its biggest international event of the year on Sunday, August 25. The pay-per-view portion of the show begins live at 1 p.m. ET with the Zero Hour pre-show set to kickoff at 11 a.m. ET.

How to watch AEW All In? Click here for the details. With that said, let’s jump right into our preview and predictions for All In 2024.

  • Kris Statlander & Stokely Hathaway vs. Willow Nightingale & Tomohiro Ishii – This match is set for Zero Hour. The winning team gets to decide the stipulation for Statlander versus Nightingale at All Out.

Four-way London Ladder Match for AEW World Trios Tag Team Championship

Participants: The Patriarchy (c), Bang Bang Gang, House of Black, PAC & Blackpool Combat Club

Backdrop: The Patriarchy beat Bang Bang Gang for the vacant AEW World Trios Tag Team Championship on 7/20 Collision. The build-up to AEW All In saw the addition of House of Black and PAC, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta into the title program. These four teams are set to compete for the trios titles at Wembley this Sunday.

Prediction: Bang Bang Gang were the unified trios tag team champions, but Tony Khan decided to scrap the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Championship. I can see Bang Bang Gang moving up the proverbial tag team ladder following this match. That means they are not getting their hands at the title. The House could very well become the new champions come Sunday.

AEW World Tag Team Championship – Young Bucks (c) vs. FTR vs. The Acclaimed

Backdrop: EVP Bucks have held onto tag team gold for some time. The pair lost to The Acclaimed in a solid eliminator match-up in the lead-up to AEW All In. Unfortunately for Bowens and Caster, FTR’s interference would cost them their title match previously on Dynamite. All three teams enter Wembley with months of pent-up aggression.

Prediction: The Acclaimed absolutely deserve to win this one. That said, I think Tony Khan will pull the Trigger on Max Caster’s heel turn on Anthony Bowens this Sunday. The Acclaimed has teased a split on the road to All In 2024. The anticipated implosion could set the wheels in motion for a singles feud between the former tag team champions. As for the winners, I’m going with FTR.

Casino Gauntlet Match – Winner gets a guaranteed world title shot

Backdrop: AEW has done a lot of number one contender matches on PPV events. The Casino Gauntlet match has been a major attraction for AEW fans since day one. Adam Page, Kyle O’Reilly, Mark Briscoe, and Orange Cassidy have all been confirmed to compete in the gauntlet match.

Prediction: A lot of popular superstars are in this match-up. Both Kyle O’Reilly and Orange Cassidy have delivered some great matches in the lead-up to All In. However, I’m going with Adam Page because I would like to see him take on Swerve for the AEW World Championship.

Chris Jericho (c) vs. HOOK – FTW Championship

Backdrop: Chris Jericho pulled off an upset at AEW Dynasty. The self-proclaimed Learning Tree beat HOOK for the FTW Championship that night. Jericho would spent the following months retaining his title controversial. Big Bill and Bryan Keith aligned with Y2J to give him a huge advantage over his competitors. HOOK may be getting another shot at the title this Sunday, but this could very well be his last one.

Prediction: This feud has dragged on for far too long. HOOK has been stuck in the FTW title picture for an eternity. His program with Joe had some potential but Joe was put on the shelf by The Learning Tree. For those who want to see HOOK win back the title, I’ve a question. What’s the payoff? How will HOOK move up the ladder? I get that the title is tied to his family through Taz, but it’s high time HOOK created his own path.

Jack Perry (c) vs. Darby Allin – Coffin match for TNT Championship

Backdrop: Jack Perry won the vacant TNT Championship at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. The Scapegoat would ignite a heated feud with Darby Allin on the road to Wembley. Darby even put Perry on fire during their Anarchy in the Arena match. He threatened to burn Perry alive once again at AEW Blood & Guts but stopped after The Elite forfeited the match, confirming a TNT title match for All In in the process. Perry upped the ante by announcing he’s take on Darby in a Coffin Match at Wembley.

Prediction: One of the best build-ups to an AEW feud came courtesy of Jack Perry and Darby Allin. We’ve seen both men try to commit murder on live television. They may be polar opposites, but neither is afraid to take risk when it matters the most. Jack’s alliance with The Elite has made him one of the most hated villains on the AEW roster. Darby is a man of conviction and arguably the best choice to reclaim the TNT Championship from the former Jungle Boy. I’m expecting some madness to go down this Sunday.

Mercedes Moné (c) (with Kamille) vs. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. – TBS Championship

Backdrop: Mercedes Moné successfully defended her AEW TBS Championship against Willow Nightingale at Double or Nothing 2024. The CEO was confronted by a returning Britt Baker following her win over Willow. Baker would have the upper hand in the feud till Mercedes brought Kamille as her enforcer. The champion and the challenger put the pen to paper on 8/21 Dynamite before all hell broke loose.

Prediction: Mercedes had been teasing a heel turn on the road to DON. She fully embraced her bad side to begin her feud with Dr. Britt Baker. AEW fans can’t wait for the D.M.D. to defeat Mercedes for the TNT Championship, but I’ve got a feeling Tony Khan won’t pull the trigger this Sunday. Assuming AEW has plans for a lengthy feud between Britt and Mercedes, the CEO retains her title at All In.

MJF (c) vs. Will Ospreay – AEW American Championship

Backdrop: MJF and Will Ospreay teased a show-down during MJF’s storyline with Daniel Garcia. Max would eventually show his true colors by brutally assaulting DG on 7/3 AEW Dynamite causing Ospreay to come to the ring. Both men would finally come face-to-face to set up a title match, which MJF won on Dynamite 250. The champion would trash the International Title declaring himself AEW American Champion in the process. On the final Dynamite before All In, Ospreay was convinced by Bryan Danielson to use the controversial Tiger Driver ’91 at Wembley.

Prediction: Fans had a mixed reaction to MJF versus Ospreay from Dynamite 250. You can check out my reaction here. Not only did Max disrespect Ospreay by trashing the International Title, he made it personal by dragging Will’s family into the feud. The Aerial Assassin has constantly teased the return of Tiger Driver ’91. I can’t see why he won’t use the move at Wembley, especially after he got Danielson’s approval to “do it.” MJF versus Ospreay II could very well steal the show.

Toni Storm (c) vs. Mariah May – AEW Women’s World Championship

Backdrop: Mariah May introduced herself as Toni Storm’s biggest fan soon after she made her AEW debut. The teacher and the protégé had some entertaining segments that also featured Storm’s former Stardom partner Mina Shirakawa. Mariah would betray Toni immediately after winning the Owen Hart Tournament, which gave her a guaranteed shot the AEW Women’s World Championship.

Prediction: Toni Storm’s Timeless gimmick has run its course. It was spectacular while it lasted. There’s no better opponent than Mariah to send Toni on a vacation after AEW All In. Mariah has proven she’s more than capable of putting on a great match inside the ring. She’s solid on the mic when she’s not talking slowly. A world title win in her home country would be a nice payoff to the feud between Mariah May and Toni Storm.

Swerve Strickland (c) vs. Bryan Danielson – AEW World Title vs. Career Match

Backdrop: Bryan Danielson earned a shot at the AEW World Championship after a thrilling Owen Hart Tournament final against Adam Page. The American Dragon told the world he’d retire should he fail to beat Swerve for the world title at All In. Danielson had previously teased retirement from full-time competition.

Prediction: I’m torn between the two competitors. Part of me wants Danielson to win AEW’s richest prize before his eventual retirement. He may not get another shot at the world title. Then there’s the part that wants Swerve versus Page for the world title. These two, in my opinion, had AEW’s feud of the year in 2023.

WrestleZone will have full coverage of AEW All In as it airs.
