The 2024 WWE Draft begins on SmackDown tonight. The blue brand will pick first per the WWE Draft rules. Superstars from NXT are eligible as well for the draft. The White and Gold Brand has plenty of names waiting to test their mettle on the main roster.
Names like Ilja Dragunov, Roxanne Perez, and Carmelo Hayes have already teased a move to either RAW and SmackDown. Let’s take a look at the five NXT stars who should join the blue brand at the 2024 WWE Draft.
Gallus could be a solid addition to SmackDown following 2024 WWE Draft
Gallus reigned supreme in NXT UK before showing up in Orlando two years ago. The Coffey Bros. and Wolfgang last competed on the April 22, 2024, episode of WWE Main Event. Mark Coffey and Wolfgang lost to the Creed Brothers that night.
The trio helped The Rock prepare for his tag team match ahead of WrestleMania 40 Night 1. The Rock thanked them for helping him get in ring shape. Gallus would, undoubtedly, be a solid addition to SmackDown’s tag team division after the 2024 WWE Draft.
Ideally, Gallus would form a new faction with Drew McIntyre on the blue brand. The Scottish Warrior needs to switch brands to kickoff a much-anticipated feud with Cody Rhodes. I’ve explained my take here.
Fallon Henley
I’ve been a fan of Fallon Henley in NXT for quite some time. She can pack a punch and plays her gimmick to the best of her abilities. Her feud with Tiffany Stratton was quite entertaining. These days, Fallon seems to be on the verge of turning heel on Thea Hail and Kelani Jordan.
SmackDown should be the next stop for Fallon Henley provided Shawn Michaels has no plans to put the NXT Women’s North American Title on her. Fallon could get a whole lot of opportunities on the blue brand complete with some solid potential feuds.
Baron Corbin
Baron Corbin moved back to NXT in May 2023. He got his Lone Wolf gimmick back. Corbin failed to dethrone Carmelo Hayes for the NXT Championship. He would engaged in a bitter feud with Bron Breakker before eventually winning the brand’s tag team titles with him.
Corbin’s most recent NXT match came against Lexis King. He has been rumored to return to SmackDown as part of the 2024 WWE Draft. Corbin received a solid push during the SmackDown Live days. He could witness something similar in 2024.
Meiko Satomura
Meiko Satomura is a legend of this business. Satomura has been active in the industry since the mid-90s. She’s competed all over the world. The Japanese legend is a former one-time NXT UK Women’s Champion.
Satumora (per Tokyo Sports) is set to work with fellow Japanese legend Kenta Kobashi’s Fortune Dream 9 show in June. Kobashi revealed WWE permitted her to work the event. The main roster needs to experience Satumora’s brilliance starting with a SmackDown debut.
Carmelo Hayes could move to SmackDown at 2024 WWE Draft
Carmelo Hayes has seemingly finished up his NXT commitments. The former NXT Champion lost to Trick Williams in their Steel Cage match two weeks ago. Melo had previously competed on both RAW and SmackDown.
He had teased signing with the blue brand as well. Melo has won multiple titles in NXT. He is a terrific competitor with solid mic skills. I expect him to join SmackDown full time at the 2024 WWE Draft.
