SmackDown Stars Who Should Switch Brands At 2024 WWE Draft

The 2024 WWE Draft kicks off tonight on SmackDown. WWE has already revealed the rules for the upcoming draft event. The blue brand will get the first pick out of the 16 total picks this week. Night 1 of the WWE Draft will have four rounds.

The draft comes into effect on the RAW following Backlash. WWE’s big Premium Live Event will emanate from Lyon, France. The line-up for Backlash is still loading up with more matches likely to be confirmed tonight on SmackDown.

Anticipation is building up for what would, undoubtedly, be a monumental night for superstars on RAW and SmackDown. Since SmackDown is kicking off the big event, let’s take a look at five superstars who could jump ship over to RAW.

The Kabuki Warriors are eligible for 2024 WWE Draft

The WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions are eligible to switch brands per the WWE Draft rules. Asuka and Kairi Sane are current holders of the titles. The pair won the titles on the January 26, 2024, episode of SmackDown.

The Kabuki Warriors need to split from Damage CTRL, and the 2024 WWE Draft could make it happen. Ideally, Adam Pearce would sign the tag team champions to RAW leaving Dakota Kai and IYO SKY as the two surviving members of Damage CTRL on SmackDown.

Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley brought The Street Profits under his win on SmackDown. B-Fab joined the stable on the February 2 episode of the blue brand. The Pride would cap off their feud with The Final Testament at WrestleMania 40 Night 2.

Lashley failed to become the number one contender to Cody Rhodes at Backlash. The Profits, meanwhile, earned their shot at the WWE Tag Team Championship. Lashley could move to RAW following the 2024 WWE Draft and enter into a world title program after Backlash.

AJ Styles defeats LA Knight to earn Undisputed WWE Title Match: SmackDown highlights, April 19, 2024

AJ Styles

AJ Styles became the number one contender to Cody Rhodes last week on SmackDown. Both men will put pen to paper tonight. They have never crossed paths in singles competition before. This match could tear the house down at Backlash.

We know Styles isn’t winning the title in France. I’m hoping WWE gives him a world title run before he decides to hang up his boots. RAW could be the Phenomenal One’s new home following the 2024 WWE Draft.

Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair confront Damage CTRL: SmackDown highlights, April 19, 2024

Bianca Belair

Bianca Belair was the RAW Women’s Champion for a long time. The EST had some memorable matches against Becky Lynch and Bayley for the title. She was drafted to SmackDown in 2023, and had a extremely short stint with the WWE Women’s Championship.

Belair formed an alliance with Naomi and Jade Cargill on the road to WrestleMania XL. I don’t want this team to implode just yet. On the contrary, I think a move to RAW would be the right direction for the EST before her inevitable clash with the Storm.

LA Knight could receive a massive push following 2024 WWE Draft

LA Knight can’t seem to get the big win despite getting so close to it. He’s had multiple close calls for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Some people think Triple H has lost faith in him. I think his push is only just beginning.

Knight could be RAW’s major pick for the 2024 WWE Draft. The Megastar needs to bring his bravado to the red brand. He could go after any of three major men’s titles on the show. That’s not an insult. That’s just a fact, YEAH!
