Eric Young vs. Frankie Kazarian – Full Metal Mayhem match at TNA Rebellion

A strong partnership came to an end when Frankie Kazarian assaulted Eric Young at the January 18 episode of TNA iMPACT!. The two former tag team partners collided at No Surrender for a shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Young won the match, only for Kazarian to cost him the title match against Moose at Sacrifice.

Young would call out Kazarian for a Full Metal Mayhem match at the March 21 episode of TNA iMPACT! with the match finally set for TNA Rebellion tonight. Will Young put an end to Kazarian’s madness, or will the former X Division standout proclaim 2024 as “his year” with a win over his fellow TNA original?

We’ll find out.

Joe Hendry vs. Rich Swann (with AJ Francis) – Singles match at TNA Rebellion

AJ Francis’ TNA arrival kicked off a rivalry with Joe Hendry. The former TNA Digital Media Champion mocked the former Top Dolla through music videos. Francis would get the upper hand when he caused Hendry’s tag team partner Rich Swann to betray him on March 14 TNA iMPACT!.

Francis and Swann would appear together as Fir$t Cla$$ the following week. However, Hendry would continue to poke fun at the new alliance challenging Swann to a match at TNA Rebellion in the process.

Mustafa Ali (c) vs. Jake Something – Singles match for the TNA X-Division Championship

Mustafa Ali shocked the world with his win over Chris Sabin for the X Division Championship at TNA No Surrender. Ali would retain the title against Sabin in their contractual rematch. He’d host a “Rebellion Referendum” six-way match on the March 21 episode of TNA iMPACT! to determine the new number-one contender to his title.

Alan Angels, Chris Bay, Jake Something, Jason Hotch, Kevin Knight, and Leon Slate fought for the opportunity. When the bell rang, it was Jake Something who emerged as the new number-one contender for the coveted X-Division Championship. Will the big man dethrone the champion at TNA Rebellion?

The System (Eddie Edwards & Brian Myers) (c) (with Alisha Edwards) vs. Speedball Mountain (Mike Bailey & Trent Seven) – TNA World Tag Team Championship match

Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers emerged as the new TNA World Tag Team Champions at Sacrifice. The heel duo soon found themselves at odds with the solid pairing of Mike Bailey and Trent Seven.

The System has so far reigned supreme in TNA’s tag team division, but Speedball Mountain is unlike any other team they’ve faced before. Will we see the crowning of new tag team champions tonight at TNA Rebellion?

Jordynne Grace (c) vs. Steph De Lander – Singles match for the TNA Knockouts World Championship

Steph De Lander replaced Ash By Elegance in the 8-4-1 match to determine the new number one contender to the Knockouts Title. The Australian superstar pulled a massive trick by having Matt Cardona interfere on her behalf. The distraction allowed De Lander to put away Rosemary for the decisive win.

Jordynne Grace has proudly carried the title around her waist since Hard To Kill. The powerhouse appeared as a surprise entrant at the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble. Grace dominated the match until she was eliminated with a KOD by Bianca Belair. Will she retain her title, or will we see a new champion at TNA Rebellion tonight?

BIG Stipulation Added To Hammerstone vs. Josh Alexander | iMPACT! Apr. 11, 2024

Josh Alexander vs. Hammerstone – Last Man Standing Match at TNA Rebellion

Hammerstone was a mainstay at MLW before making his TNA in-ring debut at Hard to Kill. Although Hammerstone lost his TNA debut against Josh Alexander, his performance impressed TNA officials enough to earn him a full-time contract.

The two would run it back at Sacrifice two months later. Hammerstone resorted to cheap tactics to score a win. To add insult to injury, he stole Alexander’s signature headgear as a trophy. The two men entered into a brawl in the build-up to Rebellion, causing TNA to book the match under Last Man Standing rules.

Moose (c) vs Nic Nemeth – TNA World Championship match

Nic Nemeth made his presence known in TNA at Hard to Kill. The former Dolph Ziggler sent out a warning to world champion Moose with a superkick. Nemeth would solidify himself as the number one contender with a win over Steve Maclin at TNA Sacrifice.

However, Nemeth and his Speedball Mountain buddies Mike Bailey and Trent Seven were jumped by The System (Moose, Eddie Edwards, and Brian Myers). Will Moose continue his dominant run, or will the “Wanted Man” become the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion at Rebellion?

WrestleZone will have full coverage of TNA Rebellion as it airs later on tonight.
