These Superstars SHOULDN’T Switch Brands During 2024 WWE Draft

The 2024 WWE Draft is almost upon us. This year’s edition of the draft will kickoff on the April 26th episode of SmackDown. The event will continue the very next Monday on WWE RAW. Just like last year, superstars from NXT will be part of draft pick as well to determine their fate on the main roster.

Following the massive success of WrestleMania 40, fans are looking forward to WWE’s new era under Triple H. The Game brought back the annual draft event last year, which saw a litany of superstars move from RAW to SmackDown and vice versa. However, a couple of superstars were picked by their original brands as well.

Roman Reigns (with The Bloodline) and Cody Rhodes were two of the biggest names picked by their original brands, SmackDown and RAW, respectively, during last year’s draft. For 2024 WWE Draft, Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce shouldn’t lose these men and women to competing brands.

Jade Cargill should remain on SmackDown

Jade Cargill signed with WWE SmackDown on the road to WrestleMania XL. The former AEW TBS Champion made her WrestleMania debut in a multi-woman match. Jade teamed up with Naomi and Bianca Belair against Damage CTRL to pick up the win.

SmackDown’s newest sensation needs to stay with the blue brand. Jade brings a lot of star power to Friday show. Her charisma and presentation has so far made up for her limited in-ring skills. Assuming Bianca Belair gets drafted to RAW, Jade stays on SmackDown till the stage is set for their inevitable clash.

Survivor Series, maybe?

Bron Breakker obliterates Cameron Grimes: SmackDown highlights, April 12, 2024

Bron Breakker is the next big thing on SmackDown

Bron Breakker is mauling opponents left and right with his spear. The former NXT Champion recently finished up his tag team run with Baron Corbin. Breakker continues to be unstoppable on SmackDown with wins under his belt.

Ideally, a pairing with Paul Heyman would be WWE’s long-term plan for Breakker. The Wiseman seems to be having trouble dealing with Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga in Roman Reigns’ absence. It remains to be seen if The Bloodline has a future on SmackDown after the 2024 WWE Draft.

Cody Rhodes thanks Jey Uso for helping him at WrestleMania XL: Raw highlights, April 15, 2024

Jey Uso has been a part of RAW since Payback 2023

Cody Rhodes pulled some strings to bring Jey Uso to RAW at Payback 2023. The YEET Master had quit The Bloodline and SmackDown prior to the move. The two men would go on to capture the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship from The Judgment Day.

The American Nightmare seemingly confirmed Jey’s future on WWE RAW this past Monday. Cody told the crowd he was technically a member of SmackDown. He then put over Jey, apparently confirming the former Bloodline’s member ascent to RAW’s main event scene.

Gunther vs. Sami Zayn – Intercontinental Championship Match: WrestleMania XL Saturday highlights

Gunther needs to go after RAW’s World Heavyweight Title

Gunther’s historic Intercontinental Championship reign ended at WrestleMania XL. The Ring General dropped the title to Sami Zayn. Gunther hasn’t wrestled on Monday Night RAW since he suffered his huge loss on the Biggest Stage of Them All.

A world title program would be the next logical move for Gunther. The Austrian brute could be a worthy opponent to Damian Priest after Backlash 2024. The rest of Imperium, meanwhile, could set their eyes on the World Tag Tag Team Championship.

Randy Orton should be Cody Rhodes’ opponent after 2024 WWE Draft

Cody Rhodes pretty much confirmed his move to SmackDown this past Monday on RAW. The American Nightmare would most likely join the blue brand as the new Undisputed WWE Champion. Rhodes’ next title defense seems to be set for Backlash 2024.

We will find the number one contender to the champion in a match between LA Knight and AJ Styles on SmackDown this week. I’d book Cody to go over Styles in France. The champion would then be confronted by his former mentor, Randy Orton, on SmackDown.

Nick Aldis needs to make sure the Viper stays on SmackDown, even if he’d have to take another RKO out of nowhere!
