5 Worthy Challengers For Damian Priest’s WWE World Championship

Jey Uso has emerged as Damian Priest‘s first opponent following RAW. The YEET Master survived a fatal four-way match to earn a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship. WWE has yet to announce the match’s venue. Both men sounded confident in their chances following Jey’s big win on the red brand.

With WWE set to visit France for Backlash next month, one might assume Jey versus Priest could take place at the May 4th PLE. The Archer of Infamy would most likely retain his championship in his first title defense. These five men could emerge as challengers to Priest following his match with Jey Uso.

Andrade

Andrade pulled a major swerve on Dominik Mysterio on the road to WrestleMania XL. The former United States Champion had Dom convinced his allegiance lied with The Judgment Day. Andrade and Rey Mysterio defeated Dominik and Santos Escobar at the Biggest Show of the Year.

The shocking turn of events has certainly put Andrade on Judgment Day’s radar. The group would be looking to teach him a lesson. Andrade could step up to Damian Priest after Jey. This could be a PPV-worthy match on free TV

Bronson Reed

Bronson Reed was fantastic in the fatal four-way number one contender’s match this past Monday on RAW. The powerhouse destroyed everyone in his path. It took a huge splash from Ricochet to Reed through the announce table to stop the big man.

Reed has solidified himself as one of the best rehires of the Triple H regime. He’s the winner of the 2024 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. A title program with Damian Priest could do wonders for the former JONAH.

Drew McIntyre dropped his title to Damian Priest at WrestleMania 40

Drew McIntyre was able to win the world title in front of his friends and family. However, his obsession with CM Punk enabled Damian Priest to snatch the championship from him. Punk would again cost McIntyre his match the following Monday on RAW.

Punk versus McIntyre seems to be the direction. The Scottish Warrior needs to take care of the Straight Edge Superstar so that he may go after Priest without a distraction. However, this won’t be easy.

Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins was the fighting world champion. The Visionary put his heart and soul into making the world title a prestigious championship on WWE RAW. Rollins pulled double duty at WrestleMania XL to once again show why he’s called the workhorse of WWE.

The former Architect is reportedly on a hiatus following WrestleMania. When he returns, he could challenge Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship. It is worth mentioning that Priest was Rollins’ first opponent on RAW for the world title back in June 2023.

The Judgment Day target Gunther’s title at WrestleMania: Raw highlights, Feb. 26, 2024

Gunther confronted Damian Priest months ago on WWE RAW

I never wanted Gunther to drop his Intercontinental Championship to Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 40 Night 1. Chad Gable, in my opinion, would’ve made more sense. That being said, the Ring General can go straight after a bigger prize in the World Heavyweight Championship.

WWE had teased Gunther versus Priest on a previous episode of RAW. If Priest stays champion till Bash in Berlin they maybe we could have the Ring General versus the Archer of Infamy for the world title.
