Best WWE RAW Matches Of 1995

WWE RAW in 1995 featured the likes of Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart as its top performers. The Showstopper and the Hitman were involved in some of the best matches on the red brand between January and December.

Plus, fans witnessed a brief yet brilliant run from Hakushi (aka Jinsei Shinzaki). The Michinoku Pro star had arrived in the federation in 1994. Within months of his arrival, Shinzaki would put on one of the greatest matches in RAW history with Bret Hart.

Let’s take a look at some of the best WWE RAW matches of 1995:

Owen Hart vs. Razor Ramon (January 9)

The Rocket took on the Bad Guy for the WWE Intercontinental Championship in the lead-up to Royal Rumble 1995.

Razor unloaded some solid punches on Owen. The younger Hart pulled off a suicide dive to the outside. His spinning back heel kick also did a pretty good job of slowing down the champion.

The match ended in DQ after Bret Hart intervened to take out Owen Hart. The Hitman briefly joined forces with Razor to take on Owen and Jeff Jarrett during their post-match brawl.

Bret Hart vs Hakushi

Bret Hart vs. Hakushi (WWE RAW – July 24)

A few months after they collided at In Your House 2, Bret Hart and Hakushi met on the July 24 episode of RAW. Both men had already showcased their incredible chemistry inside the ring at the aforementioned PPV event.

This RAW match featured plenty of great spots. Hakushi looked flawless with his moonsault over the top rope. Hart also pulled off a rare high-flying move to be on par with the international superstar.

He’d pick up the win with his patented Sharpshooter.

Alundra Blayze vs. Bull Nakano: Raw - Women's Championship

Alundra Blayze vs. Bull Nakano (April 3)

This match was far ahead of its time, even though it took place way back in 1995. You had the challenger Alundra Blayze (aka Madusa) going after the tough-as-nails Bull Nakano for the WWE Women’s Championship.

Both women had fought each other in Japan a few months prior to this title defense. This was a perfect blend of hard-hitting action with high-flying offense. Nakano taking a brutal suplex to the outside was never seen before in a women’s match.

Shawn Michaels vs. The British Bulldog (WWE RAW – March 6)

Shawn Michaels and The British Bulldog collided only once on WWE RAW in 1995. The duo took on each other at a RAW taping two months before WrestleMania XI.

Davey Boy Smith dominated the match with his strength. Michaels looked incredibly fluid between the ropes as he countered Bulldog’s offense with his flashy moves.

Add Sycho Sid to the mix, and you have the Showstopper as the winner in this high-octane bout.

Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart (No Holds Barred Match – March 27)

Coming off the heels of their critically-acclaimed feud in 1994, Bret and Owen Hart would collide in a rare No Holds Barred match on this WrestleMania pre-show RAW. Both men wanted to look strong in the lead-up to the Biggest Show of the Year.

This was a brutal fight between two brothers turned bitter enemies. Both men ditched any respect for each other as they completely battered each other in this incredible showing of physicality.

The Hitman sent his younger brother into the exposed turnbuckle with a slingshot. He then trapped Owen in the iconic sharpshooter for the win. Bret didn’t let go of the hold even after the referee had called for the bell.
