Rusev’s issues in WWE has less to do with which brand he’s competing on and more to do with the fact that he simply isn’t utilized all too well. For the last four years, WWE has seemingly struggled to utilize Rusev to his fullest potential, even when he had legitimately gotten over as a babyface.
Regardless, a change in brand may just be what he needs. He’s been on SmackDown Live for a while and it would be interesting to see him move back to RAW, where he can compete for the midcard titles once again.
