One of the key elements of attracting a crowd in pro wrestling is to have larger-than-life characters. People will always be more interested in a solid character than they will in a technical in-ring worker. One of the big surprises of ALL OUT was the fact that MJF wasn’t featured on the card in a match, though he did make an appearance.
The real question is as to whether AEW is going to allow these personality-based wrestlers to shine. They need to put a lot more emphasis on the younger talent they have. It’s going to make a world of difference and to begin with, AEW needs to emphasize on character-driven personalities and their younger stars and fresher faces.
