John Cena’s second-ever Tag Team title win came alongside his rival at the time Batista. They were all set for a blockbuster SummerSlam clash and the two superstars, feuding at the time, were paired up together to take on Ted Dibiase and Cody Rhodes. They would win the titles, but their reign would last all but a week as they failed to retain them.
It was basically done to fuel up their SummerSlam match, which turned out to be a great one in its own right. Unfortunately, Cena suffered a devastating injury during that bout.
