Kenny Omega to continue a slow start, or on the path to glory?

When Kenny Omega was announced as a signing for AEW, it became clear that he would be the main man and the one to center their programming around. It’s hard to deny it especially since Omega has everything one can look for in a top star – especially marketability. Jon Moxley was originally scheduled as Omega’s opponent, but an unfortunate setback caused Mox to be pulled from the show.

While Omega could use a win, it’s unclear how the addition of his new opponent, PAC, will change plans for the show itself and the future. Moxley says he’ll be back for AEW’s TNT debut, and it seems all but guaranteed we’ll see Omega vs. Mox go down at some point… now it’s just a matter of when. It was assumed, or at least speculated, that the winner of this original match would be the #1 contender to the AEW World Heavyweight Championship, so we’ll see where things go from here.
