#3.) Keeping Kevin Owens‘ momentum alive
2019 has been an extremely interesting year for Kevin Owens. It was clear that his heel turn in April was a last-minute decision and it was done just to feud with Kofi Kingston. However, creative are seemingly now trying to right that wrong and he has had tremendous momentum as a babyface – showcasing very Steve Austin-esque mannerisms.
As Austin would, Owens took on a McMahon in a high-stakes match-up and had he lost, he would have had to quit. WWE made the right call by having him win in front of his home country crowd and they made the match what it was. He looked tremendous and broke the norm of unwise babyfaces by using the smallest loophole to secure his win. It’s going to be interesting to see what direction they take with him.
