#5.) Brock Lesnar vs Finn Balor – Royal Rumble 2019
Finn Balor vs Brock Lesnar is a match that many felt was long overdue and would have happened before had Balor not gotten injured in 2016. Either way, it took long enough and it wasn’t even supposed to happen in the first place. The original match was Braun Strowman vs Lesnar for the Universal title, but for reasons unknown, Strowman was written out of the match.
Finn Balor stepped up to the plate by winning a Fatal-4-Way match and the dream clash was on. Fans were excited because Lesnar seemed as though he worked better with stronger opponents and it held true in this case as well. The sad reality is that Finn Balor was never going to win, but despite the short length of the match, it turned out to be quite an intense one.
Balor got his measure of offense in and had the match been given ten more minutes, there’s no doubt that it would have been a classic.
