#1.) The wrath of Rollins
In May 2016, Seth Rollins had been gone for a long time. He tore his ACL and MCL in a devastating injury at a live event, meaning he would have to vacate the WWE World title and would be out for 6-8 months. It was a devastating blow for WWE, for Rollins and for fans. Despite being a heel, Rollins was almost unanimously acknowledged as WWE’s #1 superstar that year, so having him gone for so long left a huge void.
His return was inevitable, but seeing him run out and attack Roman Reigns after the Extreme Rules 2016 main event made the arena erupt big time. It would mark the return of Rollins and he would go right after the WWE World title (which he won, only to lose it two minutes later). After this night, he began using the phrase “Redesign. Rebuild. Reclaim”.
