#2.) Trying to give the shows two different looks prior to the FOX deal
It’s no secret that WWE’s Billion-dollar FOX deal is huge for the company. There have been many reports that FOX want to give SmackDown Live a very “sports-like” presentation and also want big stars on the show. Since the FOX deal is going to see a lot of changes for the blue brand (expect a new set and theme song too).
Bischoff’s addition to SmackDown and Heyman’s to RAW means that they have two completely different visions. Ultimately, they do answer to the same man but if he’s willing to accept two different presentations, then that would work wonders for WWE.
