WWE’s first of two Saudi Arabia events of the year will be WWE Super ShowDown, hosted from the City of Jeddah. While the card in itself is relatively decent for a pay-per-view, it’s nowhere near top-level enough for WWE to justify the fact that they’re calling the event “equal to or bigger” than WrestleMania.
Sure, it’s financially more beneficial than WrestleMania, but it certainly isn’t a card that people go out of their way to tune in as they do for WrestleMania or other big PPVs. Either way, there are an interesting set of matches and it’ll have a big impact for the coming month or two. As we approach the summer in a couple of months, it’ll be interesting to see how Super ShowDown shapes things for the men’s division in WWE.
