#5.) The NXT Women’s division is still a one-woman show…for now

Shayna Baszler has been NXT Women’s Champion since late October 2018 and it’s her second reign, putting her in a league of her own. Admittedly, the division hasn’t been at its strongest in a while now and Baszler does seem like the logical option to carry the show. She’s gone past the entire Women’s division and Io Shirai was the latest name added to that list.

However, it seems like the one-woman show is set to end at SummerSlam weekend. Io Shirai looked great in defeat and attacked Baszler post-match, indicating that their rivalry is clearly not over. If (or rather, when) they do face off at SummerSlam weekend in Toronto, it’s going to be special and Shirai will be fully expected to defeat Baszler and become the third Japanese NXT Women’s Champion.
