When Jon Moxley cut his first promo for AEW, it instantly went viral. It was the definition of a promo that’s short, simple and effective. Seemingly free from the shackles of WWE, Moxley vowed to change the paradigm of the industry and give the business a “facelift”.
What was clear was that it was one of those promos where he meant every single word he said. It wasn’t just Jon Moxley talking – it was Jonathan Good. More determined than ever, it seemed as though Moxley regained all the passion he had for wrestling. Whether he does end up being a major difference maker in the industry, we’re yet to see.
