#5.) Rey Mysterio becomes United States Champion
Starting off with the most likely to happen one, it seems like Rey Mysterio won’t necessarily walk out of MITB as United States Champion, especially after how he got squashed at WrestleMania 35. One non-title win against Samoa Joe later and Mysterio is right back in contention. While his win does look unlikely, don’t be surprised to see the legendary luchador walk out champion.
After all, one must remember that the United States Championship has been in a bad place for the last year and a half or so. With multiple short title reigns, it doesn’t look WWE minds switching the title on a frequent basis. This could see Mysterio swoop in and take the big surprise win.
