#1.) The New Wyatt Family storyline

Perhaps the best storyline that Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper were ever involved in was the SmackDown 2016-17 one with Randy Orton. Harper, returning to help Wyatt take out Orton, ended up forming a trio with The Viper and they instantly established themselves as a force to be reckoned with.

Despite Orton and Wyatt being the centerpieces of the storyline, it was Luke Harper who managed to get over the most. His potential as a singles star was clearly seen and fans were clamoring for him to be added to the WWE title match at WrestleMania. Not only did it make storyline sense, but it would have been a massive opportunity for Harper to prove himself. There’s little doubt that he would have saved that fiasco of a match, but ultimately, he was only utilized as a prop for the other two stars – essentially negating the voices of the WWE Universe.
