It’s surreal to think that in 2019, Batista is not only returning to WWE, but he’s returning for what could possibly be his final wrestling match. No one expected him to return the way he did and create the impact that he did either. It was Ric Flair‘s 70th birthday and WWE was all set to celebrate the legends’ birthday in the place he loves the most – the squared circle.
With the entire RAW roster lined up on the ramp and the presence of legends such as Triple H, Sting, Kurt Angle, Ricky The Dragon Steamboat and Shawn Michaels, it seemed as though we were all in for a grand celebration. Except Ric Flair never came out. Instead, the cameras panned to the backstage area, where Batista dragged a camera-man to Flair’s locker room, where Batista entered and dragged out his body as though it were a corpse.
He uttered the simple words “Hunter, do I have your attention now?”. 14 years after their last feud, they renew their rivalry and head towards WrestleMania. We couldn’t be more excited about the two former allies and bitter rivals going at it one last time. While people complain about part-timers and their dominance at WrestleMania, the same can’t be said for this year.
