#3.) Stop trying to give Zayn the “old Daniel Bryan treatment”
The Daniel Bryan treatment refers to when WWE starts booking babyfaces to lose constantly in hopes that they’ll get more over despite losing. It’s true that the booking worked for Bryan, but what’s fundamentally been forgotten is the fact that Bryan got over despite the booking, not because of it. The distinction is very important, and while Zayn does play a great underdog babyface, having him lose left and right will certainly affect his character perception in the eyes of the fans.
Zayn is an elite level competitor and should be treated like it. Having him quietly pick up a win streak (circa Becky Lynch 2018) will start getting him more over and more fans are going to believe and get behind Zayn. The underdog story is great, but it’s time for a refreshing twist to it.
