It’s clear that Triple H is in a very different phase of his career. He hasn’t been a full-time performer for many years, but what’s clear is that he loves younger talent and working with them. He’s even done a great job putting over some of the new generation stars in the past few years, and though it’s unlikely, a match with Hideo Itami would be a dream bout.
Triple H loves working with some of his NXT favorites and there’s no doubt that he had a lot of faith in Itami before all the injuries had kicked in. He could give Itami a rub even without actually losing the match.
