#3.) vs Tetsuya Naito – NJPW Cup 2018 – Day 3
This match was an upset in a huge way. In the third day of the NJPW cup, former IWGP Intercontinental & Heavyweight Champion Tetsuya Niato took on Zack Sabre Jr. in the main event. The match was an even one and Naito put on his “big match” cap, taking it to a whole new level. There are few who can raise their game on big match occasions, but Naito belongs to the elite few.
They had an even contest with a lot of nearfalls and at the end in an incredible climax, Sabre Jr. submitted Naito, clean as a whistle. No one expected that to happen and it led to him eventually winning the NJPW cup.
