#5.) vs AJ Styles – SmackDown 2017
It was July 4th – the independence day of the United States, and an “Independence Day Battle Royal” to determine the next United States title contender was held. For some odd reason, AJ Styles and Chad Gable were the only ones who had to qualify for it and they had a match together.
Gable proved in the match, despite it being short that he could hang with the best of the best in WWE. He wasn’t victorious but he certainly won the fans in the arena over after putting on an incredible performance. It was one of the few times where WWE has teased just how good Gable can be as a singles star. They’re yet to capitalize on it.
