Chad Gable’s real name is Chad Betts. However, if you’re not aware of where he got his ring name from, it seems as though he went to his amateur wrestling background and paid tribute to the legendary Dan Gable.
Dan Gable is an amateur wrestling legend. He won the gold medal at the 1972 Olympics, without conceding a single point to his opponent. He also led his teams to nine NCAA championship victories and coached the Olympic National team on three different occasions. The best part of it all? He gave Gable a ringing endorsement!
