#3.) Destination X match with Austin Aries
Bobby Roode’s run in 2012 will most certainly go down as the greatest year of his career. He was on an absolute tear and that included being World Champion for nearly a year. Roode was in a record-breaking run and it all culminated in a match against Austin Aries at Destination X.
This was one of those moments where fans were ready to see Aries win the big one. He had organically turned face the prior year and he too was having one of the best runs of his career up to that point. They had an instant classic and in what was one of the greatest moments in Impact history, Aries ended Roode’s reign.
