#4.) Winning the NXT Championship
Bobby Roode was undefeated in NXT and his streak led him to #1 contendership, where he faced then-NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura at NXT Takeover: San Antonio. The two had an incredibly psychological-based match in the main event and after Nakamura seemingly injured his knee, Roode took advantage and beat him to capture the NXT Championship.
Roode carried himself like a true champion and he’s one of those superstars who carry themselves like one. His reign lasted over half a year until he finally lost the title and immediately got called up to the main roster.
