#3.) The “Glorious” theme song wasn’t originally meant for him
One of the things that made Bobby Roode as popular as he became in NXT was his famous “Glorious” theme song. Simply put, it’s a great song, easy to sing along to and one that fit Roode’s character perfectly. It also gave him a main event-like feel. But believe it or not, the theme was created before he joined WWE and it wasn’t meant for him – it was meant for his future rival Shinsuke Nakamura.
Nakamura was one of the highest profile signings in WWE history and $CFO made the “Glorious” theme intended for The King Of Strong Style, but Nakamura wasn’t a fan of it, believing that it didn’t fit his personality. However, he sat and worked with $CFO for a new theme for himself, which was met with great results.
Looks like it all worked out well.
