#5.) Was an enhancement talent for WWE for a while
Believe it or not, between 2002 and 2004 in Bobby Roode’s early years, he worked quite a bit as an enhancement talent for WWE. Between that time he wrestled a total of 17 times, and as you can imagine, lost all 17 of them. He went under “Bobby Rude” and even had tryout matches (all of which, he lost as well.)
Interestingly enough, John Laurinaitis bluntly told Roode that there wasn’t a place on the roster for him, urging him to accept TNA’s contract offer in 2004. In retrospect, that turned out to be the right advice and Bobby Roode likely feels the same way.
