TNA has often gotten criticism over not correctly utilizing the talent they had, but Austin Aries vs Bobby Roode in 2012 was one of those moments where they pulled the trigger in the right time. Aries had serious momentum on his side, having organically turned babyface. It was the culmination of Bobby Roode’s historic TNA World title reign and there was no better time for Aries to win it.
They put on an instant classic and in one of the greatest moments in TNA history, Aries defeated Roode to win his first world title with the company.
