When talking about how to do a blow-off feud right, this match is the perfect example. Roode vs Storm at Bound For Glory was a year in the making and it didn’t get any bigger with the street fight stipulation and King Mo as the special enforcer. It wasn’t just a brutal spot fest because of the stipulation.
It was clearly a well thought out match with several throwbacks to their prior feuds. The two went to hell and back during the match, perhaps tieing the bow on what was undoubtedly Roode’s greatest year as a performer. Storm winning was an incredible payoff to the story as well.
