#3.) vs Shinsuke Nakamura – NXT Takeover: Orlando
Bobby Roode, at the beginning of 2017 dethroned Shinsuke Nakamura to become NXT Champion. Their feud would continue and in the main event of NXT Takeover: Orlando at WrestleMania weekend, Roode and Nakamura once again main evented. While the match didn’t get the appreciation it deserved at the time, there’s little doubt that their match was amazing.
Rather than the fast-paced style of today, Nakamura and Roode went for a more old-school, psychological-based match-up and the build-up saw the pace dramatically increase, with Roode successfully defeating Nakamura in what turned out to be the latter’s NXT swansong.
