Finn Balor has had a significant journey as a pro wrestler. Starting his career in 2000 at the age of 18, Balor went from the indies in Ireland to Japan in 2006, which turned out to be a career-changing move. In New Japan, he wound up collecting multiple accolades and had a major impact on the timeline that was to follow.
Despite all the title wins, perhaps his most significant contribution to NJPW was beginning The Bullet Club along with Machine Gun Karl Anderson. He was best friends with Anderson in real life and that turned into one of the most iconic factions in all of pro-wrestling.
His star shone too bright for others not to recognize. His work in NJPW along with the British Indies caught WWE’s attention and they would give him the call and offer him a contract to join the company. He would go on to become an icon in NXT before a long-anticipated call-up to the main roster.
He’s had some incredible wars through the years with the best of the best, and we take a look at Balor’s best matches from NJPW and WWE.
