#2.) vs AJ Styles – TLC 2017
Balor was originally scheduled to face Bray Wyatt in a “Demon vs Sister Abigail” match at TLC. However, due to measles that spread backstage, Bray Wyatt was pulled from the match. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise as WWE then set up a dream match between Finn Balor and AJ Styles.
It was a WrestleMania-caliber match-up as the two former Bullet Club leaders had never faced off before. As fans had expected, the RAW vs SmackDown Live match stole the show. Styles had flown all the way from South America on short notice to wrestle at the PPV. Despite all the fatigue, the two would put on a Match Of The Year contender. Demon Balor would prevail and it led to a feel-good moment at the end where the two paid their respects to each other with the “Too sweet” gesture.
