#3.) What was in Shane McMahon‘s lockbox?
Shane McMahon returned in February 2016 after a 7-year absence. Naturally, fans were thrilled to see the return of The Prodigal Son and gave him a deserving ovation. Shane returned to take control of RAW and threatened his father Vince McMahon that he would reveal the content of a “lockbox”.
Vince McMahon would then put Shane McMahon in a big stakes match-up at WrestleMania. Not only would he face The Undertaker at The Grandest Stage Of Them All, but it would be inside Hell In A Cell. If Shane won, he would get control of RAW but if he lost, he would have to hand over the lockbox to Vince McMahon.
Undertaker and Shane did have an entertaining match, but it didn’t have much weight at the end. Shane McMahon would basically be given a month-long temporary RAW GM role and then became co-GM until the brand split. On the RAW after WrestleMania, Vince McMahon just said that that lockbox was in his possession and nothing was ever mentioned about it again!
