#1.) He paid to re-design the Intercontinental Championship
Cody Rhodes won the Intercontinental Championship for the first time in 2011, where he would go on to have a solid 200-day run with the title. What made his reign stand out, however, was the fact that he brought back the classic Intercontinental title design. While he initially pitched the idea to WWE management, they didn’t seem to pay much heed.
So Rhodes took matters into his own hands and paid out of his own pocket to re-design the Intercontinental title back to the old-school version. Luckily for him, Vince McMahon liked it and decided to keep it. The design has remained the same till this day, helping it stand out from other WWE titles that have the same design.
