Toni Storm Dethrones Mariah May At AEW Grand Slam Australia
Last weekend, All Elite Wrestling marked its Australia debut with Grand Slam, a special television event in Brisbane, Queensland. The show featured five matches in total, two of which revolved around the AEW women’s division.
First, Mercedes Moné put her TBS Championship on the line against Australia native Harley Cameron. Harley pleaded her case for a title match for weeks. It wasn’t until Cameron struck Moné with a microphone during her half-time concert that Moné finally granted her request.
Cameron made a valiant effort, even laying out Moné with a Destroyer and a Sunset Flip. Still, it wasn’t enough to put away “The CEO,” who eventually captured victory with a Moné Maker to retain the TBS Championship.
Elsewhere, “Timeless” Toni Storm defeated Mariah May with a small package in the Grand Slam main event to regain the AEW Women’s Championship. In doing so, Storm made history by eclipsing Hikaru Shida for the most AEW Women’s Championship reigns in company history.
Storm, now a four-time champion, followed up her win with a celebratory speech on AEW Dynamite in which she also invited the women in AEW to step up and face her. Meanwhile, May was nowhere to be seen.

Roxanne Perez Rounds Out The Women’s Elimination Chamber
Next weekend, six women will step into the Elimination Champion with the aim of securing a WWE Women’s World Championship match at WrestleMania 41.
Fresh off her showing at WWE NXT Vengeance Day, Roxanne Perez faced Raquel Rodriguez in the final Women’s Elimination Chamber qualifying match. In the match’s closing moments, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Naomi attacked Liv Morgan, Rodriguez’s ally, at ringside. As Rodriguez became distracted by this ringside commotion, Perez rolled her up for a three count to gain the final spot in the Women’s Elimination Chamber.
Following her victory, Perez delivered a message to Rodriguez, as well as her upcoming Elimination Chamber adversaries.
“The Prodigy is going to the Elimination Chamber! Why? Why? Because nobody is on my level,” Perez said. “Not anybody from NXT and not anybody from Raw or SmackDown. And especially not Raquel Rodriguez. How embarrassing, right? How embarrassing that Raquel Rodriguez lost to Roxanne Perex – your future Women’s World Champion. See ya at WrestleMania!”
Joining Perez inside the grueling structure will be Bianca Belair, Naomi, Liv Morgan, Alexa Bliss, and Bayley, the latter of whom has rivaled “The Prodigy” in NXT in recent weeks. WWE Elimination Chamber will emanate from the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on March 1.

Masha Slamovich Defends Knockouts Title
On last week’s episode of TNA iMPACT, Masha Slamovich defended her Knockouts Championship against Savannah Evans. Evans secured this opportunity by besting the likes of Rosemary, Tasha Steelz, Dani Luna, Jody Threat, and Jazz in a number one contender’s battle royal.
In the title match’s closing moments, Evans appeared to be setting up Slamovich for a suplex. “The Russian Dynamite,” however, countered with a Requiem to secure the pinfall on Evans, and retain her Knockouts Championship.
Elsewhere on iMPACT, WWE NXT’s Cora Jade defeated TNA Knockout Xia Brookside with Jaded. In recent weeks, Jade has eyed up the Knockouts Championship, making her intention for a title match against Slamovich very clear. As of now, neither TNA nor WWE has granted the title match.
