Women’s Wrestling Wrap-Up: Harley Cameron Secures TBS Title Shot, Jamie Hayter Returns To EVE, Amanda Kiss Interview

Harley Cameron secures a shot at the TBS Championship. Jamie Hayter returns to Pro-Wrestling Eve. Giulia will defend the NXT Women’s Championship at Vengeance Day. Amanda Kiss chats with WrestleZone and more!

Harley Cameron Secures TBS Title Shot

With AEW coming to her home country of Australia for Grand Slam, Harley Cameron has made repeated attempts to secure a TBS Championship match with Mercedes Moné for the event. It wasn’t until last week, however, that her attempts finally paid off.

On AEW Collision, Cameron treated Texas fans to a special halftime concert, reiterating her desire to take on a ride on Moné’s Money Train. A few lines into Cameron’s first song, the TBS Champion interjected to call her a “loser.” From there, Cameron played her second song of the evening, which accused Moné of being “afraid to feel the wrath.”

Unamused by Cameron’s words, Moné blocked her guitar playing and told the Australian star to “shut the hell up.” Furthermore, Moné suggested that Cameron’s puppet could wrestle better than her. In response, Cameron declared that the most entertaining moment of Moné’s career came courtesy of Cameron’s puppet, which was dressed as “The CEO.” Additionally, Cameron clocked Moné in the jaw with the microphone, after which Moné confirmed a TBS Championship match between them at AEW Grand Slam Australia.

Elsewhere at Grand Slam, Toni Storm will challenge Mariah May for the AEW Women’s Championship. Like Cameron, the event will mark a homecoming for Toni Storm, as she was raised in Australia’s Gold Coast.

Jamie Hayter Returns To Pro-Wrestling EVE

For the first time in five years, Jamie Hayter graced the fans of Pro-Wrestling EVE with her presence.

Last time, Hayter dropped her EVE International Championship to Emersyn Jayne in a four-way also involving Nina Samuels and Skye Smitson at Reign After Queendom. This time, Hayter took on former EVE Champion Alex Windsor at Multiverse Rumble on February 7.

As Windsor pointed out on social media, this marked the first-ever encounter between her and Hayter, as the latter has primarily appeared in All Elite Wrestling since the summer of 2021. Meanwhile, Windsor has rapidly increased her stock across promotions such as EVE, CMLL, RevPro, and NJPW.

At EVE Multiverse Rumble, Hayter and Windsor wrestled for nearly 24 minutes, with the former picking up the victory. Afterward, Windsor posted images of their battle followed by their friendly backstage encounter.

WWE NXT Vengeance Day: Two Women’s Titles On The Line

This Saturday, WWE NXT will host Vengeance Day from the CareFirst Arena in Washington, D.C. Of the six matches, two of them feature representatives from the NXT women’s division.

Firstly, Giulia will defend the NXT Women’s Championship against Roxanne Perez, Cora Jade, and Bayley. The former STARDOM star claimed the title last month by defeating Perez at NXT New Year’s Evil. In the weeks following, she and Bayley aligned to take down Perez and Jade, with “The Role Model” and “The Prodigy” later being granted a shot at Giulia’s title. After Jade’s victory over Bayley on this week’s NXT, however, NXT General Manager Ava added her to the mix as well. Now, Giulia will put her title on the line in a fatal four way at Vengeance Day.

Elsewhere, Stephanie Vaquer will challenge Fallon Henley for the NXT Women’s North American Championship. Vaquer earned the opportunity by defeating Kelani Jordan, Lola Vice, and Cora Jade at New Year’s Evil. The same night, Shotzi pinned Henley in a six-woman tag match. As such, Shotzi and Vaquer faced off the following week, with the winner getting the first crack at Henley.

While Shotzi bested Vaquer, her efforts to capture the NXT Women’s North American Championship fell short. At Vengeance Day, Vaquer is hoping to meet a more successful fate, specifically by dethroning Henley.
