Jazmin Allure reflects on her full-circle moment.
Six years ago, Jazmin Allure found herself completely enthralled by the action unfolding in front of her at Consejo Mundial De Lucha Libre (CMLL). Fast forward to October 2024, Allure returned to CMLL, not as a fan, but as an in-ring competitor, battling in a two-out-of-three falls trios match.
During an interview with WrestleZone’s Ella Jay, Allure opened up about the personal significance of this moment, which saw her teaming with Dulce Tormenta and Tabata in Arena Mexico.
“I still have videos of my dad, when he took me, it was like [2018] or ’19, right before I even decided I wanted to wrestle,” Allure said. “I was already watching wrestling non-stop on my phone. My dad got free tickets to go to CMLL show, and he was like, ‘You want to go?’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, I do.’ I had never been to a show in Mexico. And I remember watching it and being, ‘Yeah, this is what I want to do.’ I came back to the States, to Texas, started training. So five years later got to make my CMLL debut in the same arena that I made the decision I wanted to be a wrestler is so crazy.
“My whole family was there. It was like 30 family members and I could just hear them the whole time,” Allure continued. “I shed a tear after. It was so surreal. Probably one of like top two best moments of my career just because it was full circle. That was the first time my family ever got to see me wrestle, my parents. The first time they ever got to see me wrestle because they haven’t been able to come to the US and see my matches, so [it was] very fun.”
Is A Return To CMLL In Allure’s Future?
When asked about her potential plans to return to CMLL, Allure noted that she’d be thrilled to do so. In fact, she confirmed discussions with the promotion about it.
According to Allure, both sides are hoping for her to come back for an extended period of time. This scenario, however, presents a challenge, as it would require the “Top Tier” performer to temporarily move.
“When I’ve talked to them, they kind of said [they wanted me for] a longer period of time to learn more and get more established, which is also kind of hard having to move and go somewhere else. So that’s the only thing right now,” Allure said, “but yes, I would love to go back.”
